My experience in Papua New Guinea with VSO (Voluntary Services Overseas) was much different than my experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Zambia.  I lived in the coastal town of Madang, known as “the prettiest town in the Pacific”, from May 2008 through December 2009.

I learned a lot about development; the jargon, the buzz, the consequences both intended and unintended, positive and negative. I learned a lot about myself and the path I dreamed to pursue.  I explored my interests in photography and writing; and found myself keeping a regular blog,  Looking Through Another’s Eyes.

Charlye, was your experience how they say it to be – “The land of the unexpected.” Congratulations on your website/ blog. You are sounding like the Nat Geo Programs I watch on places I dream of seeing. Great Photos.
